Development Goals Forum (DGF) works on various initiatives and projects with the aim of realising the SDGs, and our largest project thus far is DGF2020, which will take place from the 1st of March to the 6th of March 2020 at DOGA and Oslo Kongressenter
This common forum was created with the aim of gathering young people, politicians, private and public actors to meet and exchange knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The forum will highlight the importance of the SDGs and the way in which these can be implemented. We will invite the attendees to explore interactive workshops, seminars, lectures and debates, and encourage participants and panelists to discuss and share ideas in order to further facilitate action towards achieving the SDGs.
In 2020, the overall theme will be “Globalisation” with particular focus on SDGs.
The events are to not only create awareness about various issues related to the SDGs, but also to provide a knowledge-sharing platform where people from various backgrounds can come together in order to collectively realise a sustainable future for all.
More specifically, the week consists of three main activities:
To be able to create measurable impact and work with global issues, knowledge is key. We therefore organise lectures, sessions and debates where experts from various fields give participants in-depth insight into different themes. The participants are also encouraged to engage with the ‘experts’ in an interactive session after the knowledge-portion of the event.
In addition to lectures and debates, we arrange round-tables and workshops in order to give participants the ability to work hands-on with specific themes and propose solutions to the SDGs.
We create a platform for interaction through our exhibition, in which businesses, start-ups and organisations that work towards the SDGs can showcase their work and reach out to a larger audience
